Box Tops for Education

It’s another great year at Mary Immaculate Star of the Sea School! My name is Tina Newman and I’m the volunteer coordinator for Box Tops for Education. This year, our goal is to raise $1000.00 to purchase wish list items for our school. We can do this with just a little snip!

Car Raffle Sales

2009_ford_focus_20239463-300x189The annual Car Raffle has now been in full swing for a few months. There are only 500 tickets to be sold and we need to sell them all!  The car was again generously donated by Mr. Earl Duncan. It is a 2009 Ford Focus. It is parked in front of the church .

Everyone has been given their two tickets to sell and we need you to turn in the money as soon as you can. We need everyone’s help in selling the tickets.   They are easily sold in front of the church each week. We are selling them after each mass.

If you haven’t sold your two tickets per family please come out on Sunday and do so.  Each Family is  responsible for turning in the $200.  Please sell some tickets and help our school.

There are three prizes to be awarded. First prize is the car, second prize is $1000 dollars and third prize is $500 dollars. The winner will be selected at our Parish Picnic on May 31st. Winners do not need to be present to win.

Carnvial Update

IMG_4994.JPGThe Carnival was lots of fun and raised over $10,200.00.  The extraordinary efforts on behalf of PTSA, parents, teachers and staff, Mr. Mack and crew, parishioners, alumni, and our amazing students are greatly appreciated.  We hope everyone enjoyed this important fund-raising event.

We learned alot about what works with a Carnival and what does not.  Next year we will make twice as much money with not as much effort!  Mr. Gene, the Carnival Manager, is already working with us to set dates for 2010/2011!
