Stupendous Statistics!

Dear Parents,

Is your investment in your child’s education worth it? You bet it is! It is probably one of the best investments you will ever make!   Many times in my years at Mary Immaculate, parents have asked, “How do our students do when they go to the high school?”

I am very proud to share with you some statistics that are quite amazing and certainly back up what we claim – that children educated at Mary Immaculate Star of the Sea Catholic School receive a top notch education!  First and foremost, the foundation of faith on which our school is built, will be a support forever in the lives of our children.  They will stand strong when the winds of time present challenges, which eventually happen in everyone’s lives.  The academics are demanding and our teachers  are dedicated professionals who instill a love of learning!

The statistics I want to share with you are on how our students are doing at Key West High School following the 1st Quarter.  They are as follows:

These statistics come from the 1st Quarter Honor Roll list from Key West High School:

MISS Class of 2007/2008
Percentage of MISS Graduates that are on Honors     43%

MISS Class of 2008/2009
Percentage of MISS Graduates that are on Honors     27%

MISS Class of 2009/2010
Percentage of MISS Graduates that are on Honors     58%

MISS Class of 2010/2011
Percentage of MISS Graduates that are on Honors     83%

Thank you parents for allowing me to serve as your principal.  I am proud of the job you do as parents, sacrificing greatly to give your child the opportunity to be educated at Mary Immaculate Star of the Sea Catholic School. Together may our mission of excellence continue.

 Gracefully,

 Beth Harris

Volunteer Application Sheets

We are getting into the busy time of the year. Just a reminder that ALL parents need to have a volunteer application sheet on file.

If you have not filled out the Volunteer Application Sheet, they are available in the office.

EVERYONE MUST HAVE A VOLUNTEER APPLICATION ON FILE.  Be sure to fill in 3 references and bring your drivers license so Ms. Cindy can make a copy to attach.

Thank you.
