Dear Families,
The Mariner March is quickly approaching and we need your help. We are asking each family to donate either one case of water or Gatorade. Just drop them in the front area by the office. Bascom Grooms and his devoted committee have been working diligently for several months to ensure that we have another successful event!
Please come out and walk/run or just hang out. Great music, food and fun on Saturday, April 27th in front of the school.

The Basilica School presents the 3rd annual Mariners March 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 8:00 am. There is also a Children’s Fun Run at 9:00 am for children 9 and under–FREE!
Register now–T-shirts will go to the first 300 entrants only. There are awards for the top overall male/female runners and the overall masters male/female runners. There are also awards for the top three runners in each five-year age bracket and top five walkers male/female. Pre-registration is $25 or on Active.com. Race Day registration is $30. Under-18 regstration is $15.
Enjoy the post-race refreshments and much more. You won’t want to miss the fun at this family event.
By the way! The Basilica School class which brings in the most registration forms will win a prize, so put the grade information in the “Referral Grade” box at the bottom of the form.

School resumes – Tuesday, April 2nd. – 2013
Just a reminder….Grades 2 – 8 begin their Standardized Testing on Monday, March 4th. Testing begins early in the morning so we need every child to arrive at school on time.
For your child to do their best on the IOWA Tests, please ensure that they get plenty of rest and eat properly during testing weeks. (March 4th – 15th)
We traditionally score in the top 1/3 of the nation and are very proud of our results!
